About Us

We are a group of Indians who hail from a small state called Kerala which is located in the southwestern part of India. Our mother tongue/ native language is Malayalam and this is why we are commonly called Malayalis. We come from different socio-economic, cultural, and professional backgrounds. To keep us united and have some fun, around 30 members from Kerala living in PEI came together to form a group in 2011. After the formation of the group, members gathered together for various occasions to celebrate different festivals like Vishu, Onam, Christmas, Easter, etc. These times of getting together and getting to know each other also gave opportunities for everyone to showcase their talents in varied areas. In 2017, the group was registered as a non-profit organization named KAPEI ( Kerala Association of PEI) with approximately 250 members.
